  • Case Registration Service on Dubai Trade Revamped to Complaint and Enquiry Registration Service

    Case Registration Service on the Dubai Trade portal has been revamped to Complaint and Enquiry Registration Service. Users can now easily submit complaints, enquiries, and track their requests.

  • DUBAI TRADE BUILDS ON NEXT GENERATION DIGITAL DELIVERY ORDER PLATFORM WITH TRADE+

    Dubai Trade is evolving its Digital Delivery Order (DDO) platform to Trade+ as it continues to invest in enhancing the efficiency and speed of trade operations across Dubai’s supply chain and logistics sectors.

     

    Trade+ facilitates the digital exchange of cargo release documents between shipping lines, freight forwarders, consignees and other trade stakeholders, significantly accelerating the cargo release process.

     

    With the Trade+ service available on the Dubai Trade Single Window for Trade and Logistics, businesses can achieve an average 90% reduction in transaction times, process higher trade volumes and expedite cross-border trade, completing tasks that once took up to 48 hours in under 10 minutes.  

     

    As well as streamlining approvals, payments and document transfers, Trade+ also delivers environmental benefits by eliminating paper-based processes. With 100% paperless transactions, the service has saved an estimated 2.36 million documents from being printed in 2024 and substantially reduced carbon emissions associated with travel, fuel usage and congestion.

     

    Dubai Trade has invested considerable resources in creating Trade+ to ensure it meets the evolving needs of businesses. The platform will continue to be refined and developed to provide additional benefits and process improvements, further optimising the efficiency and experience of conducting trade in Dubai.

    Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s services such as Certificates of Origin, and attestation will be accessible on the Dubai Trade Portal

     

    Dubai Trade, a DP World company and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce have signed an agreement to allow the local business community easier access to the Chamber’s trade services. This includes certificates of origin, attestation, and other membership services, which will be accessible on the Dubai Trade Portal, a single window platform for international trade.

     

    The agreement was signed by H.E. Hamad Buamim, President & CEO of Dubai Chambers and Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO & Managing Director, DP World UAE & Jafza.

  • DUBAI TRADE SURPASSES 300 MILLION TRANSACTIONS

    Dubai’s leading trade and logistics platform continues to pioneer digital innovation in support of Economic Agenda D33

     1 February 2024, Dubai, UAE – Dubai Trade, the leading trade facilitation hub in the UAE, has crossed 300 million transactions since the platform was established in 2003, eliminating approximately 617 million printed documents and saving 25,400 metric tons of CO2 emissions.

    The achievement comes on the back of a record-setting year in 2023, with Dubai Trade registering 32.6 million transactions compared to 26 million the year before, representing a 25% increase. Out of these, 48% of the transactions were related to clearance and border controls, with 44% falling under cargo handling and logistics. 

    Dubai Trade, the digital arm of DP World in the GCC region, has consistently demonstrated robust growth since it was formed, with an average 8% year-on-year increase in annual digital transactions since 2003. Today, Dubai Trade facilitates nearly 90,000 transactions daily.

    Dubai Trade was created to bring together various trade and logistics service providers under one digital platform. Today, it boasts a user base of over 180,000 traders and a comprehensive digital ecosystem offering more than 700 digital solutions, including customs clearance, government permits, port clearance certificates, company licensing, and free zone administrative services.

    Some of Dubai Trade’s achievements of 2023 include:

    • Trade and Logistics:22,420 new customers registered on the platform in 2023, marking an increase of 17% on the number of new registrations in 2022.
    • Payment Gateway: The digital platform’s payment system, Rosoom, saw a 32% increase in transactions, reaching 3.3 million in 2023 compared to 2.5 million in 2022. The total value of these payments grew by 40% to more than AED 2 billion.
    • Supply Chain and Logistics Academy:Dubai Trade’s educational academy, which offers courses and workshops for the trade and logistics sector, trained 5,500 candidates in 2023, more than double the number of 2,500 candidates in 2022.

     

    Sustainability:Through the ongoing digitalisation of services, Dubai Trade eliminated the need for approximately 25.5 million physical visits and 85 million paper documents, saving time, fuel and approximately 3,450 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

    Dubai Trade, DP World’s single window platform for cross border trade, reaffirms its commitment to enhancing the safety and efficiency of its operations by joining forces with health and safety training provider, SaveFast, and logistics and supply chain consultation provider, 4D Supply Chain Consulting.

     

    Through this collaboration, Dubai Trade will offer its employees and partners health and safety training, as well as supply chain efficiency courses to benefit the entire trade and logistics community.

     

    Dubai Trade will work with 4D Supply Chain Consulting to provide courses on Bills of Lading, Letters of Credit, and Incoterms 2020. It will also work with SaveFast to offer courses including Fire Safety, Emergency First Aid, and Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) & National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).

    In phase one, we are introducing two essential services on Dubai Trade single window www.dubaitrade.ae with more services to be added soon to streamline the operations further.

    • Vessel Master: Enables the registration of a new vessel.
    • Voyage Registration: To create rotations for a vessel's arrival.

     

    Both services are now live and accessible by all shipping agents operating in Mina Al Hamriya. Concerned users can request access from their company administrators and start using the services with immediate effect. By utilising these e-services, Customers will no longer need to physically visit Mina Al Hamriya counters for vessel and voyage registration. The transition to e-services will help our customers to save time, effort, and cost.

  • Enhancement to the Customs Account Management

    Please be informed about an upcoming enhancement to the Dubai Trade Customs Account Management services. This enhancement will be implemented on July 14, 2024.

    Currently, the system only allows for one request at a time for an Account and guarantee (CDR-Credit Account, Debit Account, and Standing Guarantee) related requests. With the upcoming enhancement, users will have the ability to submit multiple requests simultaneously for both Account and Guarantee related requests. This means there will no longer be a need to wait for the completion of one request before submitting another.

      • Manage the Account users

  • Facial Recognition at DP World for Haulier Drivers: Make Sure to Register

    We are excited to announce the deployment of cutting-edge facial recognition technology at DP World, which captures and verifies individuals accessing port premises, significantly enhancing our existing security measures and streamlining your business operations.

    Registering for facial recognition is mandatory for all truck drivers with RFID tags entering or exiting through these gates:

    • Cargo Gate 3
    • Cargo Gate 8
    • All Container Terminal Gates

    Please note, operations at all other gates will remain as per existing practices.

    To take advantage of the new facial recognition system, please follow the below steps:

    1. Log into the Dubai Trade portal.
    2. Navigate to the Haulier Driver Enrolment service.
    3. Enter your Gate Pass Number and Name.
    4. Follow the instructions outlined in the user manual, which can be downloaded here.

     

    Deadline: 15 March 2024

    All system enrolments should be completed by 15th  March 2024 to ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted access to the port. Failure to register by this deadline will lead to restricted access for the above-mentioned gates starting from 16th March 2024.

    Please note that uploading incorrect images or tampering with the images will lead to legal consequences.

  • Production Implementation Notice for Declaration module

    Please be informed of an upcoming enhancement to the Dubai Trade Customs Declaration and Vehicle Clearance Certificate services. This enhancement will be implemented on September 08, 2024.

    Postal Declarations:

    Service charges for Postal cargo clearances have been revised and will be based on the value of goods being declared

    • AED 0 for value of goods less than or equal to AED 3000
    • AED 10 for value of goods between AED 3000 and AED 15000
    • No change for value of goods greater than AED 15000 or consignments containing tobacco, tobacco products, e-cigarettes, nicotine liquid, alcoholic beverages and foods containing alcohol irrespective of the value

    Vehicle Clearance Certificate:

    Currently, vehicle clearance certificates can be downloaded only one at a time. With the upcoming enhancement, customers will be able to select multiple certificates (maximum 50 numbers) belonging to the same declaration and download it all as a single file.
