Reporting On COVID-19 Cases
- Type: News
We believe that by now you, your employees and stakeholders are aware of the nationwide preventive measures that have been implemented by the UAE Government to contain Coronavirus (COVID-19) from spreading across our community.
In order to further strengthen these measures, the UAE Cabinet’s Resolution No. 24/2020 calls to strictly adhere to its requirements, including the following:
Report COVID-19 Cases
All national and expatriate employees are legally required to inform the Ministry of Health & Prevention (MoHAP), Ministry of Interior (MoI) or Dubai Healthy Authority (DHA) about any suspected cases of COVID-19 infection that they come across or become aware of with immediate effect. They must allow the authorities to investigate and examine the suspected patient, and take necessary measures to ensure the wellbeing of the community.
Share Only Official Information
You are prohibited from publishing, re-publishing or circulating health-related information and guidelines that are not officially announced and approved by MoHAP or DHA, or share information that violates what has been officially announced, using any media including but not limited to print, video, audio, social media, websites, IT means or other methods of dissemination. This measure is necessary to ensure the integrity of our collective efforts to contain COVID-19.
Administrative Penalty
Kindly be aware that people sharing and distributing false, misleading or unofficial information related to COVID-19 will face a fine of AED 20,000 (AED Twenty Thousand) under Article 6 of the UAE Cabinet’s Resolution No. 24/2020. The penalty fee will be doubled if violators are caught repeating the offence
Also, you are required to report any suspected cases of COVID-19 to DP World’s Command & Control Centre on 04 887 4000 or 800379222.
We encourage you to proactively promote the primacy of truth among your colleagues and stakeholders in these uncertain times, and fulfil your duty towards this nation
