    As we believe in our principles, social responsibility, and intensify all our efforts to move towards the recovery phase and contain COVID-19, we urge everyone to adhere to the instructions and directives issued by the official health authorities in this regard.

    We draw your attention that the Health, Safety and Environment Department at DP World, UAE Region discovered that employees of some companies didn’t adhere to the precautionary measures, including not wearing masks, and gathering in large numbers in public places, putting their lives in jeopardy and threatening the health and safety of the community.

    In an immediate action, fines range from AED500 to AED5,000 were imposed on individuals for not wearing the mask, applicable penalties in the COVID-19 list of fines issued by the UAE Attorney General were imposed on violated companies, and the violators were referred to the competent security authorities to take the necessary actions.

    Therefore, we urge you all to strictly adhere to every precautionary measure to limit the spread of COVID-19 and return to our normal life.

    In line with the Dubai Municipality directions announced recently for convenience of everyone and to preserve their health and safety, we draw your attention that all public facilities including parks, playgrounds and gyms in Jafza Staff Accommodation will be closed daily at 09:00pm starting today.

    As part of our efforts to move towards the recovery phase and safeguard the public, we urge you to notify your employees and labours in Jafza Staff Accommodation of the new closing times and continue to educate and guide them on the importance of adhering to all measures to ensure their safety and the safety of others.

    Finally, all employees working in the Free Zone and residing in Staff Accommodations must wear face masks at all times in work premises and common areas. It’s also important to avoid strolling around malls, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, etc.

  • Appointment for External Visitors test

    In line with the precautionary measures laid down by the UAE Government for Coronavirus (COVID-19), all external visitors will be required to present an invite in the form of Email, SMS or WhatsApp to the Security Gate for verification with the inviting showroom.

     

    Kindly note that this is a temporary requirement, and the appointment scheduling will be effective from Saturday, 28th of March 2020 until further notification.

    In spite of the sense of commitment and responsibility demonstrated by everyone, a shop violated these directions, which resulted in imposing a full closure of the said shop for a full week. In the event of repeating such violation, the penalties shall be imposed as per law.

    There is no doubt that the ease of spreading infection from the COVID-19 these days poses a threat to our health, and the way we do business. Preserving our employees lives and health, should be our priority. This is the only way not to go back into lockdown.

    Therefore, we must continue monitoring our workplace, and urging our employees to follow the UAE government guidelines. This includes practicing keeping social distancing of 2 meters, always wearing a face mask, washing hands frequently and using sanitisers regularly.

    As we approach the end of year holiday, we urge you all to celebrate responsibly by adhering to safety protocols/guidelines and avoiding unnecessary gathering and crowds.

  • Changes in Issuance/Renewal of Residence Permits Process (Waiving Medical Fitness Test) – Update (2)

    Pursuant to the previous circular, titled “Changes in Residence Permits Renewal (Exemption from Medical Fitness Test)” dated 26th of March 2020, we would like to inform you that the Ministry of Health & Prevention (MoHAP) and the Federal Authority for Identity & Citizenship (ICA) announced a waiving of medical fitness test procedure while applying for residence permit renewal and an update on medical fitness test for new residence visa stamping. The new procedures shall be effective from Wednesday 01 April 2020, until further notice.

    Under the new update, the services mentioned will be enabled in the portal with minor changes that will be applicable until further notice.

    Residence Visa Renewal & Residence Visa Renewal with Employment Contract Amendment:

    As announced by MoHAP that the medical fitness test will be waived, customer is only requested to select the application type as “Normal”, and it shall process it via system automatically. Once Resident permits is renewed, customer shall receive a notification directly from GDRFA.

    Once the medical result is received, it shall be uploaded along with the Emirates ID biometric application as well as the rest of the required documents via the portal for our update as recently announced that no physical documents will be collected.

    Once Residence Permit is issued, customer shall receive a notification directly from GDRFA.

    Note:

    • Medical application fees shall be refunded upon customer request after Residence Permit stamping application is completed.
    • No medical application to be prepared, provided or uploaded for Residnet Permit Renewal.

    No medical test will be processed in medical centers other than the below mentioned.

    As part of preventive and precautionary measures to contain COVID-19, the National Disinfection Programme has been renewed for two weeks from Saturday, 4th of April 2020, pursuant to the decision of Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management. Restrictions on the movement of vehicular traffic and the public are now extended to include daytime as well, covering 24 hours.

    Given the current situation in view of the pandemic caused by Coronavirus (COVID-19), we would like to inform you that Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship have rolled out a set of changes to the procedures of residence permit stamping and Emirates IDs biometric, to ensure public health and safety.

    The detailed steps are as follows:

    Emirates ID:
    • Applicant shall need to pass the medical fitness test first in order to proceed with the Emirates ID fingerprint (biometric) registration.

    Resident Permit
    • After medical fitness result is received, the customer shall upload the necessary documents in the system. The courier shall update the task and will not collect any physical documents.

    • Collection of original passport from the customer shall be suspended as Residence Permits will not be stamped in the passport until further notice

    • The request (SR) will be updated as additional documents needed to inform the customer to upload the Employment Contract signed by both employee and employer and stamped.

    • Resident Permit requests will be processed in the system and the customer shall receive a notification once the request is approved by GDRFA.

    The new procedures shall be effective from Wednesday 25 March 2020 until further notice.

    Given the current situation in view of the pandemic caused by Coronavirus (COVID-19), we would like to inform you that the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Ministry of Health & Prevention and the Federal Authority for Identity & Citizenship announced waiving of medical fitness test procedure while applying for residence permit renewal.

    And under the new measures, the following services will be suspended temporarily until further notice:

    • Jafza RP Renewal
    • Jafza RP Renewal with EC Amend
    • Jafza Released Signed In


    Based on the above, Jafza Service Center will remain closed until further notice.
