Undertaking Letter for Issuing Work Permit and Visit Visa

Further to the circular issued recently, titled: “Resumption of Issuing Residence/Visit Visas, and Conducting Medical Fitness Test” (click here to read the full circular), please note that the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has announced an addition to the procedures of issuing work permits/visit visas.

Based on the recent addition, customers must provide a copy of “Undertaking Letter” to be uploaded with each “Work Permit/Visit Visa” application, declaring their responsibility to bear the full cost of the treatment, quarantine, and any related expenses, in the event that one of its employees is tested positive for COVID-19 during a 14-day period from the date of arrival to the UAE.
