Secure Your Dubai Trade Portal Account: Password Requirements and Recommendations

In line with our effort to follow the best practices in Information Security that is being followed globally, we would like to inform you about resetting your passwords on regular basis and aligning with the following password requirements and recommendations. Kindly note that a password reset request will be sent in case the password has not been changed in the past six months.

Password Requirements:
• Minimum password length of 8 Characters.
• Comprises of Capital letter, Number and Special Character.
• Do not store the password in clear-text like in notepads or word documents.
• Do not reuse passwords within a cycle of 5 password changes.
• Password changes every 6 months.

Recommendations:
• Avoid using dictionary words as passwords like “John”, “DPWorld”, “Park”...
• Avoid using consecutive characters like “123”, "ABC”; as they're easy to guess by attackers.
• Avoid using the same password for different applications (internal to Dubai Trade or personal accounts like Gmail ...)”
