Update on Invoice Attestation Process – Aligned with MOFA EDAS 2.0
As part of ongoing efforts to streamline trade processes and enhance coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), effective from 01 August 2025 Dubai Customs has implemented the following updates to the invoice attestation procedures:
- Simplified Declaration Process
The requirement to manually enter the MOFA attestation number in the Dubai Customs Declaration System (DPP) has been removed. This step is no longer necessary under the enhanced MOFA attestation platform (EDAS 2.0), which operates without pre-attestation. This change improves efficiency and encourages wider use of the updated MOFA system. - Inclusion of Government Entities in Attestation Scope
Invoices issued by companies registered as government entities with Dubai Customs will now be subject to attestation by MOFA, where applicable. This ensures a consistent and transparent process for all entities, in line with national procedures.
