Adherence to service-life requirement for vehicles departing to Saudi Arabia

Dubai Customs would like to inform you that the Public Transport Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has updated its regulations pertaining to transportation of goods on trucks and passenger transport by buses and taxis on land roads, in line with the necessary safety requirements and standards, and that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will implement all requirements and obligations on trucks, buses and taxis for all carriers including KSA national carriers.
Among the requirements stated in the updated regulations is the service life requirement, as shown below:Type of vehicle Maximum service life of vehicle Taxis (5) years from the year of manufacture based on operational life from the beginning of manufacture year Buses (10) years from the year of manufacture based on operational life from the beginning of manufacture year Trucks (20) years from the year of manufacture based on operational life from the beginning of manufacture year
You are kindly requested to abide by the above, as effective April 04, 2021 Saudi Customs will not allow entry of vehicles destined for Saudi Arabia territories that violate the service-life requirement. -

CHANGES TO TRUCK PARKING AT JAFZA GATE 7: PAID PARKING FROM 13 NOVEMBER
The current temporary truck parking area located at Jafza Gate 7 will be converted into a paid parking zone with effect from Wednesday 13 November 2024. All trucks parked in this zone will be subject to the applicable parking fees (AED 15 per day per truck with multiple entry).
Rules and Regulations
- Only commercial trucks, trailers, and other large vehicles are permitted to park in designated truck parking zones.
- Trucks must comply with any size or weight restrictions imposed by the parking facility. Oversized or overweight trucks may be prohibited.
- Parking fees must be paid to avoid fines or towing. Violators may also face additional penalties or charges.
- Trucks must park within designated spaces. Unauthorised parking (e.g., occupying multiple spaces or blocking lanes) is prohibited.
- Idling of truck engines may be prohibited to minimise air and noise pollution. Drivers should turn off their engines when parked.
- Drivers are prohibited from disposing of rubbish or waste in parking areas.
- Drivers are fully responsible for securing any valuable items (such as electronics, tools, personal belongings, or cargo) left in or on their vehicles while parked. DP World cannot be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage to these items.
- Repeated violations could lead to a truck or company being banned from using the parking facility.
We urge all members of the trucking community to follow these new regulations. Please also note that strict measures will be taken against trucks parked in unauthorised areas with immediate effect. Any vehicles found violating the designated parking zones will be subject to penalties and towing, as per regulatory guidelines.

This advanced system is beneficial for better utilisation of parking space available to dedicated residents only and will prevent unregistered outside vehicles from entering the Accommodation. It will also improve security measures and provide seamless experience to all residents.
We urge all customers who have employees or labours residing in the Accommodation to register their vehicles to our new ANPR Security System, by filling out the required information in the link here.
Kindly be informed that the deadline to submit the required information is 31st of July 2021

To ensure the safety and efficiency of the traffic flow within Jebel Ali Free Zone, the following restrictions are implemented, effective immediately:
- Gate 2: Exit is no longer permitted for empty trailers.
- Gate 3 and 8: Entry is restricted for trucks without an active token or cargo gate pass.
All heavy vehicles affected by these changes should use Jafza South Gate 10 and 11 for both entry and exit until further notice.

Due to ongoing construction works for the Jebel Ali Rail Terminal outside Jebel Ali Gate 1 and 2, we will be implementing traffic adjustments and road diversions starting 26 August 2024, for a period of approximately 18 months. These changes are to support the construction activities and maintain a smooth flow of traffic.
Key changes:
- Light Vehicle Entry
Entry to Gate 1 and 2 will be partially affected due to the closure of the bridge from Al Yalayis street. However, access from D57 (Al Yalayis street) and E11 (Sheikh Zayed Road) towards Gate 1 and 2 will remain operational.
- Exit for Light Vehicles and Buses
The exit route for light vehicles and buses will be diverted through a new route outside Jebel Ali Gate 2.
- Heavy Truck Diversion – Exit
All heavy trucks currently exiting from Gate 1 and 2 will be diverted to Jebel Ali Gate 7, Gate 8, and South Zone Gates 10 and 11, to avoid congestion.
- Fuel Tankers for Refineries (ENOC/EPPCO & Emarat)
Fuel tankers to and from refineries will be redirected through Jebel Ali Cargo Gate 3. Please follow the indicated signage for this route.
- EGA Vehicles
Exit routes from Jafza Gate 1 to EGA facility will remain unaffected.

Important Notice: Temporary Road Access Changes at Mina Rashid
Temporary road closures are currently in effect around Mina Rashid port and will remain in place for approximately two weeks.
While the main port entry and exit points remain unchanged, some surrounding roads are closed. To ensure smooth and safe access to and from Mina Rashid, all users are requested to follow the new access routes as shown in the maps below:
