Important: NIP System Upgrade - Scheduled for 29 November 2025
As part of our ongoing commitment to enhance service efficiency, we are pleased to inform you that National Industries Park (NIP) will be upgrading its Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.The result will be faster processing, improved transparency, and a more seamless digital experience across all transactions.
The new integrated platform will consolidate all services under the Dubai Trade Portal, enabling you to manage your operations seamlessly. It is scheduled to go live on 29 November 2025.
The upgrade introduces several enhancements aimed at improving your overall experience:
- Simplified processes for new company applications and lease renewals.
- End-to-end digital processing of employment visas.
- Digital Employee ID cards available in PDF format via the Dubai Trade Portal.
- Secure electronic signatureof employment contracts, access cards and key documents using DocuSign.
- A unified licensing structure, aligned with the DED framework.
Action Required: Preparing for the Transition
To ensure a smooth transition and avoid any service disruptions during the system migration, please review the following important points and take the necessary actions in advance:
Service Requests (SRs)
- All open SRs will continue to be processed in the existing system.
- The current Employment Visa service in the existing system will remain available for two months to complete arrival intimation activities.
- Any new Employment SRs must be created in the new system after go-live.
- Please ensure all draft SRs are submitted before 28 November 2025.
- New SRs may be created from 30 November 2025.
Resident Permit (RP) Renewals
For renewals already initiated in the current system, kindly email the medical report to the NIP Team to continue processing on the new platform.
Service Availability During Migration(28 November – 3 December)
- Make Deposit and Apply for PDC Extension will be unavailableduring the migration period.
- All non-payment services will remain operational.
- To avoid delays, please ensure your Portal account has a sufficient balance before the migration begins.
Some existing services will be renamed or enhanced as part of the upgrade. These updates will be communicated in the coming days.

Important: NIP System Upgrade | Details of New Services
Following earlier communication regarding the upcoming system upgrade, we are pleased to share further details about the enhanced experience you will enjoy once the new platform goes live.
Key Highlights
- All existing NIP services will continue to be accessible via the Dubai Trade Portal; however, they will now operate on our upgraded CRM, enabling a smoother, more efficient, and more transparent service journey.
- As part of this enhancement, we are introducing over 40 new services across Licensing, Employee Services, and Company Registration. These new services are designed to streamline your daily operational requirements and improve the overall turnaround time.
- All NIP services through the Dubai Trade portal will be unavailable on 28th November and will resume the following day. However, financial services will be fully operational from 4th December onwards.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has announced an update on “Profession” when applying for a New Employment Visa or a Designation Amendment in the residence permit.
Based on the new update, the applicant is required to enclose attested university certificate (Bachelor) when applying for a New Employment Visa or a Designation Amendment, for the following professions:
• Manager (of all types)
• Assistant Manager
• Engineer
• Accountant & Financial
• Doctor
• Lawyer -
