    This is to remind you that our “Reconnect with Us” campaign that focuses on updating Dubai Auto Zone (DAZ) customers’ information is live. Intrinsic and vital details related to the companies operating in DAZ are being collected to create an organised customer database, facilitate communication, and keep you updated on the latest events and activities as EXPO2020 Dubai approaches.

    We request you to click here or login to Dubai Trade Portal and use the e-Service “Know Your Customer (KYC)" to update your details before the 31 May 2021 to ensure your compliance with this requirement.

    All details shared will remain strictly confidential with us. Please note that failure to update details in time could impact your business and transactions via Dubai Trade Portal.

  • 53rd Eid Al Etihad Holiday

    On the occasion of 53rd Eid Al Etihad, we would like to inform you that Dubai Auto Zone offices will be closed from Monday 2 December 2024 to Tuesday 3 December 2024. Work will resume at normal business hours of 7:30am to 3:30pm on Wednesday 4 December 2024.

     

    Any overtime worked during the holiday will be paid in accordance with the public holiday rate.

  • Adherence to Midday Working Hours

    In line with the annual initiative of the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation to protect employees from the extreme summer heat, mandatory mid-day break has come into effect until 15th September 2023.

    Working under direct sun and outdoors are prohibited between 12.30 PM and 03.00 PM to protect employees from heat exhaustion, heat stress, heat stroke and related illnesses.

    In exceptional cases where continuous work is required, employers must provide workers with cold water and other recommended items by the UAE’s health authorities such as salt and lemon. They must also provide first aid at the workplace and get the necessary approvals from DAZ.

    Failure to comply with the above will result in penalties.

  • Celebrate Responsibly!

    There is no doubt that the ease of spreading infection from the COVID-19 these days poses a threat to our health, and the way we do business. Preserving our employees lives and health, should be our priority. This is the only way not to go back into lockdown.

    Therefore, we must continue monitoring our workplace, and urging our employees to follow the UAE government guidelines. This includes practicing keeping social distancing of 2 meters, always wearing a face mask, washing hands frequently and using sanitisers regularly.

    As we approach the end of year holiday, we urge you all to celebrate responsibly by adhering to safety protocols/guidelines and avoiding unnecessary gathering and crowds.

  • Commemoration Day and National Day Holidays 2022

    On the Commemoration Day and 51st UAE National Day, we would like to inform you that Dubai Auto Zone offices will be closed from Thursday 01 December 2022 to Saturday 03 December 2022. Work will resume at normal business hours of 7:30am to 3:30pm on Monday 05 December 2022. 

     

    Any overtime worked during the holiday will be paid in accordance with the public holiday rate.

  • Complacency is not an Option

    • Type: News

    As we believe in our principles, social responsibility, and intensify all our efforts to move towards the recovery phase and contain COVID-19, we urge everyone to adhere to the instructions and directives issued by the official health authorities in this regard.

    We draw your attention that the Health, Safety and Environment Department at DP World, UAE Region discovered that employees of some companies didn’t adhere to the precautionary measures, including not wearing masks, and gathering in large numbers in public places, putting their lives in jeopardy and threatening the health and safety of the community.

    In an immediate action, fines range from AED500 to AED5,000 were imposed on individuals for not wearing the mask, applicable penalties in the COVID-19 list of fines issued by the UAE Attorney General were imposed on violated companies, and the violators were referred to the competent security authorities to take the necessary actions.

    Therefore, we urge you all to strictly adhere to every precautionary measure to limit the spread of COVID-19 and return to our normal life.

  • Compliance with Safety Measures

    • Type: News

    To ensure offering a secure work environment for all DAZ employees, please follow the below protocol within your premises and in the vicinity:

     

    • Kindly ensure that all employees have valid documents of residency, processed by the Ducamz management.
    • Illegal employees are not authorized to be on the companies premises.
    • Sleeping or cooking in the companies and showrooms is prohibited.
    • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles stored in showrooms and plots.
    • Ensure proper and safe usage of car batteries and car battery jumper cables, and store relevant equipment in a non-hazardous manner.
    • We encourage all companies and showrooms to adopt a water-efficient approach while cleaning cars and use water-saving car washing equipment to prevent water waste and avoid any accumulation of water on the roads.
    Please note that the use of firefighting hose reels as a source of water is forbidden.
    • Construction and modification in facilities without seeking Ducamz management pre-approvals is not allowed.

  • Compliance with the Ministerial Law No. (57) of 2020 on the requirements of the Economic Substance Regulations

    • Type: News

    Dubai Auto Zone (DAZ) calls its valued customers to comply with the Economic Substance Regulations requirements to ensure its validity to avoid fines that are to be imposed by the Regulatory Authority through the designated system of the Economic Substance Regulations of the customers.

    The requirements concerning the submission of the Economic Substance Regulations report are as follows:

    Notification of Submission:

    • The licensors and the exempted licensees are required to submit a notification within (6) months from the end of their financial year.

    Submission of Report:

    • The Licensees are required to submit their Economic Substance Regulation report within (12) months of the end of their financial year.

    Kindly be informed that notifications are required to be filled by the 29th of March 2022 as non-compliance with the obligations to file a notification is subject to a penalty.

  • Damas Trees Removal

    • Type: News

    Through the keenness to revamp DAZ infrastructure, in which an initiative to remove Damas trees from different areas is also being worked on mainly due to its negative effects it has on the infrastructure underneath with rapid growth and wide extension of roots and to enhance the quality of life, to achieve sustainable development and preserve the various facilities.

     

    We worked in coordination with Dubai Municipality team to set a timetable for the removal of all Damas trees in the area to avoid any impact on the infrastructure.

     

    We will contact you one day before starting the removal campaign to relocate the vehicles from specific places according to the schedule.

  • Dealing Seriously with COVID-19 Positive Cases and Staff in Contact at Jafza Staff Accommodation

    • Type: News

    We would like to remind all our customers to continue to be responsible and strictly adhere to the precautionary measures for COVID-19 positive cases or staff that come into contact with positive cases at Jafza Staff Accommodation. Failing to adhere to the precautionary measures shall result in imposing fines of up to AED50,000 on violators.

    We would like to remind all customers that Jafza is allocating leasable places to spend the mandatory quarantine period for Jafza sponsored staff residing at Jafza Staff Accommodation, who returned to the UAE, tested positive or came in close contact with a COVID-19 positive case.

    Further to the instructions issued by the HSE Department, the mandatory quarantine periods shall be as follows:

    Returnees to the UAE:
    The quarantine period is (7) days and ends with a negative PCR test result carried out on the seventh day.

    COVID-19 Positive Cases:
    The quarantine period is (12) days and ends with two negative PCR test results carried out on the tenth and twelfth day.

    Staff in Contact with Positive Cases:
    The quarantine period is (10) days and ends with a negative PCR test result carried out on the ninth day.

    Please note that this service is only available to DAZ sponsored staff who are residing at Jafza Staff Accommodation, under the following requirements:

    - Space(s)/Room(s) shall be rented on an extendable Lease Agreement with a non-refundable rental value.
    - Agreement shall not be terminated and shall remain valid throughout the mandatory quarantine period.
    - Extension of the Lease Agreement shall be made with Leasing & Licensing Team, and the extension fees shall be the same as the previous rental value.
    - Undertaking letter shall be signed by the authorised signatory to comply with the above requirements.

     

  • Decree by Federal Law No. (33) of 2021 on regulating labour relations

    • Type: News

    We would like to refer to the Decree by Federal Law No. (33) of 2021 on regulating labour relations, issued recently and highlight that it will supersede and replace the Federal Law No. (8) of 1980 on regulating labour relations. The provisions will take effect from February 2, 2022.

     

    Therefore, kindly be informed that:

    • Employment Contracts currently in force will be subject to the provisions and conditions included in the Decree by Federal Law No. (33) of 2021 on regulating labour relations.
    • In addition, the Employment Contracts currently in force will be amended once the new Employment Contracts templates are approved and issued.
    • The currently in force Unlimited Employment Contracts shall be amended within a maximum period of one year from the date of the law enforcement, in accordance with the instructions, procedures and requirements that are announced at the time.
