DISPLAYING ITEMS BY TAG: Exempted Industries

  • Exempted Industries during the National Disinfection Programme

    • Type: News

As part of preventive and precautionary measures to contain COVID-19, the National Disinfection Programme has been extended for two weeks from Saturday, 4th of April 2020. Restrictions on the movement of vehicular traffic and the public are now extended to include daytime as well, covering 24 hours, with exceptions made only for some vital sectors.

DP World would like to bring to your attention that Ports, Shipping, Logistics and Supply Chain industries are vital sectors which are exempted from the above restrictions. Port Operations including containers/cargo delivery and receipt shall continue 24/7 as usual. Vehicles carrying all types of cargo/containers to/from Jebel Ali Port and Free Zone can run through Dubai roads, as these fall under Logistics and Supply Chain industry. Therefore, vehicles will not be fined for trips made to/from Jebel Ali Port and Free Zone for receiving/delivering cargo/containers.

Hauilers may refer to recent letter shared from DP World on April 5, 2020. Drivers must carry the letter at all times to present it to Dubai Police if required.
