  • Exempted Industries during the National Disinfection Programme

    As part of preventive and precautionary measures to contain COVID-19, the National Disinfection Programme has been extended for two weeks from Saturday, 4th of April 2020. Restrictions on the movement of vehicular traffic and the public are now extended to include daytime as well, covering 24 hours, with exceptions made only for some vital sectors.

    DP World would like to bring to your attention that Ports, Shipping, Logistics and Supply Chain industries are vital sectors which are exempted from the above restrictions. Port Operations including containers/cargo delivery and receipt shall continue 24/7 as usual. Vehicles carrying all types of cargo/containers to/from Jebel Ali Port and Free Zone can run through Dubai roads, as these fall under Logistics and Supply Chain industry. Therefore, vehicles will not be fined for trips made to/from Jebel Ali Port and Free Zone for receiving/delivering cargo/containers.

    Hauilers may refer to recent letter shared from DP World on April 5, 2020. Drivers must carry the letter at all times to present it to Dubai Police if required.

  • Jebel Ali Port Operating Hours

    As the leading trade enabler, we believe in making provisions to ensure your business and its operations run seamlessly.

    Therefore, kindly note that during the National Disinfection Programme hours of 8:00 pm to 6:00 am, Jebel Ali Port’s operations will run as usual. The gate operations for delivery and receipt of containers shall continue during the disinfection hours. Hence, the Hauliers and Traders can continue with their cargo movements 24/7 without any interruption.

    In order to optimise the operations, and avoid congestion and delays in the port, please utilise container-booking time slots round the clock.

  • National Disinfection Programme

  • Update on Extending “National Disinfection Programme”

    The National Disinfection Programme, announced by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and the Ministry of Interior (MoI), has been extended until Sunday, 5th of April 2020 to be effective from 8pm to 6am. However, during the daytime, traffic and public movements shall continue as normal.

    The drive expects all UAE citizens and residents to stay at home during the disinfection time, and only go out when it is absolutely necessary to get essential supplies, such as food and medicine, or working in vital sectors.

    Therefore, we encourage all DP World Customers, Port Users, and Manpower Supply Service Providers to carry their Emirates ID and Employee ID issued by DP World as well as necessary permits while entering Jebel Ali Free Zone and Jebel Ali Port.

  • Update on the Extension of the National Disinfection Programme

    As part of preventive and precautionary measures to contain COVID-19, the National Disinfection Programme has been renewed for two weeks from Saturday, 4th of April 2020, pursuant to the decision of Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management. Restrictions on the movement of vehicular traffic and the public are now extended to include daytime as well, covering 24 hours, with exceptions made only for some vital sectors and essential services.

    The public must stay home and leave only to obtain essential food supplies or medicine or perform essential jobs in vital sectors.

    All DP World customers and port users will be required to present their Emirates ID, Employee ID and necessary permits to enter the port.

    Companies that don’t fall within the above-mentioned sectors should resume work from home.

    DP World, UAE Region’s ports operations will continue uninterrupted to deliver all services essential to ensure the movement of goods and supplies.

    Finally, we request you and all your employees to adhere to all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. Also, always seek information related to COVID-19 only through official channels such as the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
