Suspension of issuing the residence permit sticker and synchronizing it with the Emirates ID

This is to announce the suspension of issuing the Residence Visa sticker and alternatively merge it with the Emirates ID issued from the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security effective 11 April 2022, as the residency stickers on passports will no longer be issued for expatriates.
Kindly follow the steps for the below services:
Services that require Medical Examination:
• Resident Permit New Stamping
• Residence Permit Renewal.
• Residence Permit Renewal with Job Title Change.
After the medical fitness result is received, the customer shall upload the necessary documents into the system. No original physical documents will be collected (passport) except for the employment contract as Residence Permits will not be stamped in the passport.
Services that do not require Medical Examination:
• Employment Contract Amendment with Job Title Change.
• Resident Permit correction
• Residence Permit Transfer from old to the new passport.
• Nationality Change on Resident Permit.
• Resident Permit stamping for a lost passport.
Resident Permit requests will be processed in the system and the customer shall receive a soft resident copy via the registered email once the request is approved by GDRFA and it should be linked with the Emirates ID.
The new procedures shall be effective from Friday 8 April 2022.
