Extension of NDP in Labour Camps and Industrial Areas

In this occasion, we would like to draw your attention that the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced that the National Disinfection Programme (NDP) in labour camps and industrial areas across the UAE will be extended by two hours from Wednesday, May 20 to run between 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, until further notice.

We urge you to instruct your employees to strictly adhere to the instructions and directives recently announced for the coming period, especially during Eid holidays. These procedures include but not limited to the following:

• It is necessary to dispense with some social customs and traditions that members of society are accustomed to during the blessed Eid Al-Fitr holidays, which will be different this year, by adhering to all necessary controls and measures, preventive measures and social divergence by avoiding visits, gatherings and establishing banquets, in order to preserve the health and safety of society in these conditions the world is going through.
• You shouldn’t go outside unless it is absolutely necessary to get essential supplies, such as food and medicine, or working in vital sectors. We also stress avoiding visits and gatherings during this sensitive period, and we advise individuals to communicate using electronic means or call by phone instead of visits.
• You should not leave home and avoid going to public places, such as parks and playgrounds in order to preserve your health and safety.
• In regard to prayers, including Eid and Friday prayers, taking into account medical guidelines and advice, including what was mentioned by the Emirates Council for Legal Fatwa, in the forefront of which is keenness to pray at home and to take health protection reasons as a legal duty, life necessity and national commitment.
