Amendment to Paternity Leave Policy

Dubai Auto Zone (DAZ) would like to inform you that in line with law no. (6) of 2020, President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan approved a federal decree-law amending some provisions of the paternity leave policy.

The new article states that both male and female private sector employees will be granted a paid parental leave for five working days, to be utilised from the baby’s date of birth until he/she is six months old.

This significant development underpins the importance of both parents’ role in providing newborns with the necessary care and demonstrates the UAE's vision in relation to gender equality. We fully support this move as it aligns with our organisational goals and urge our customers to adhere to the said provisions as well as all regulations issued from DAZ and all related government entities.
