Unveiling Dubai Food District - a New Hub for Global Food Trade

Dubai Food District is officially unveiled by DP World, a major expansion and rebranding of the Al Aweer Central Fruit and Vegetable Market into a 29 million sq. ft., multi-category food hub for fresh, gourmet and staple foods.

Dubai Food District will be developed in phases, with the first phase starting in 2027. It will more than double the current market, adding advanced cold and temperature-controlled storage, processing facilities, and upgraded wholesale and retail space while maintaining business continuity.

The new district is designed to strengthen food supply chains, expand trade capacity and support regional food security, connecting vendors to 20+ global markets through DP World’s logistics network.
