Moving to the New Weekend from 1 January 2022

Following the UAE Government’s announcement to switch weekends to Saturday and Sunday with a 4.5-day work week, we are glad to inform you of our compliance with this decision in DAZ offices.

Therefore, starting from 1 January 2022, the weekend will officially change to Saturday and Sunday, with 4.5 hours of work on Friday (from 7:30 am until 12 pm). The working hours from Monday to Thursday remain unchanged.

*The new directives shall not apply to employees working on shift duty.

We trust that this new change will positively impact our business opportunities, productivity and work-life balance. Further updates will be shared in the upcoming weeks.

Therefore, starting from 1 January 2022, the weekend will officially change to Saturday and Sunday. Working hours from Monday to Thursday will be 7:30 am until 3.30 pm with 4.5 hours of work on Friday, from 7:30 am until 12 pm.

New Year Holiday 2022

On this occasion, DAZ offices will be closed on Saturday 1 January. Kindly note all gates will be closed on this occasion with the exception of the main gate which will be open for 24 hours. 

As per the government announcement in the local media, the private sector will remain closed during the holiday on Saturday, 1 January 2022. Any overtime worked during this holiday will be paid in accordance with the public holiday rate.

On the occasion of the “New Year 2022”, DP World UAE Administrative Offices at Jebel Ali Port and Mina Rashid will be closed on Saturday, 01 January 2022. 

Terminal operations will continue as usual. Receiving and delivery of cargo can be provided upon request from customers on prior notice.

During the holiday period, all charges will be raised according to the public holiday rates listed in the Port Tariff.

Hijri New Year Holiday 1443 –Mina Al Hamriya

On the occasion of “Hijri New Year 1443”, the Administrative Offices at Mina Al Hamriya will remain closed on 12 August 2021 and work will resume on 15 August 2021 at normal business hours of 07:30 am to 03:30 pm.

On the occasion of “Hijri New Year 1443”, all administrative offices at DP World, UAE Region and its subsidiaries will be closed on 12 August 2021 and work will resume on 15 August 2021 at normal business hours of 07:30 am to 03:30 pm.

 

During the holiday, port operations will continue as normal. Upon prior request from customers, receiving and delivering of cargo can be arranged for the General Cargo and LC Facility.

 

All charges will be applicable according to the public holiday rates listed in the Port Tariff.
