Determination of Midday Working Hours

As part of our ongoing efforts to protect and safeguard employees and labourers, and in line with the resolution issued by Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation No. 401 of 2015, we hereby advise you to comply with the resolution’s requirements effectively from Tuesday, 15th of June 2021 to Wednesday, 15th of September 2021.

 

Please be advised that no work under the direct sunlight and in open area shall be carried out/performed between 12.30 PM and 03.00 PM to reduce heat exhaustion, heat stress, heat stroke and related illnesses.

 

In exceptional cases where continuous work is required, employers must provide workers with cold water and other recommended items by the UAE’s health authorities such as salt and lemon. They must also provide first aid at the workplace and get the necessary approvals from NIP.

 

Failure to comply with the above Decree shall result in penalties/sanctions.

The official working hours for Muslim employees in National Industries Park (NIP) offices in the last 10 days of Ramadan will be as follows:

 

From 10:00 am till 02:00 pm.

 

As per NIP Rules and Regulations, all Free Zone companies are required to reduce their working hours to 6 hours per day. The reduced working hours are applicable to all employees and any additional hours worked are subject to overtime payments as per the regulations.

 

We will continue to facilitate all businesses as usual, and our teams remain available to support you at any time through our online services on the Dubai Trade Portal.

 

The official working hours for Muslim employees in Dubai Auto Zone (DAZ) offices in the last 10 days of Ramadan will be as follows:

 

From 10:00 am till 02:00 pm.

 

As per DAZ Rules and Regulations, all companies are required to reduce their working hours to 6 hours per day. The reduced working hours are applicable to all employees and any additional hours worked are subject to overtime payments as per the regulations.

08:00 am – 01:00 pm
Sunday – Thursday

 

Please note that counters close 60 minutes before closing time.

Ramadan Working Hours 2021

During the holy month of Ramadan, the working hours for DP World, UAE Region and its subsidiaries are as below:

Commercial and Administrative Departments 08:00 hours – 14:00 Sunday to Thursday
Container Terminals

Operations will continue as normal.

Gate operations will continue 24 hours

General Cargo

Normal hours 08:00 hours – 14:00 hours

Overtime: 1400 hours onwards


Break hours:
Iftar Break 19:00 hours – 19:45 hours
Suhoor Break 03:30 hours – 04:00 hours

CFS and Cold Chain Logistics

Normal Shift 08:00 hours – 14:00 hours

Overtime: 14:00 hours onwards

Transportation and Distribution Operations will continue 24 hours
Marine Department Berthing and un-berthing of vessels will continue

 

All charges for services provided during overtime hours will be applicable according to the rates listed in the Port Tariff.

Ramadan Working Hours 2021

With Ramadan due to start soon, the official working hours in National Industries Park (NIP) offices during the holy month of Ramadan will be as follows:

From 08:00 am till 02:00 pm.
