“UAE Pass as Digital Identity Authentication” Go-Live announcement
Dubai Customs is pleased to announce the enhancement of Mirsal system to streamline the submission of declarations and claims requests on Dubai Trade platform using UAE Pass digital identity authentication. Customers will now be able to submit these requests using UAE Pass login, eliminating the need for digital certificate authentication. This enhancement will take effect from 10th May 2026.
Following are the key features of UAE Pass authentication on Dubai Trade platform.
- Secure and Unified Identity Verification:
Enables customers to submit declarations and claims using UAE Pass as a secure, unified digital identity, replacing the requirement for digital certificate authentication.
- Enhanced Identity Validation:
Strengthens the verification process by matching the Emirates ID details of the registered user’s profile in Mirsal with those registered in the UAE Pass account.
- Support for ‘Group of Companies’ Users:
Users affiliated with multiple companies within a group can link their UAE Pass credentials to all associated companies on the Dubai Trade platform. This allows a single user to submit declarations and claims on behalf of multiple linked companies using the same UAE Pass login.
- Submission Restrictions based on UAE Pass Account Type:
Users with a Basic (SOP1) UAE Pass account—created using only email and mobile number without Emirates ID verification—will not be permitted to submit declarations or claims.
Only users with Advanced (SOP2) or Qualified (SOP3) UAE Pass accounts—verified using Emirates ID—will be allowed to submit requests on the Dubai Trade platform.
The existing digital certificate authentication mechanism for submission of declarations and claims on Dubai Trade platform will also be continued alongside the new UAE Pass authentication until further notice.
We kindly request all our customers to ensure that the Emirates ID details of all registered users are accurately updated in our system and are fully aligned with the credentials used in their UAE Pass accounts. This alignment is necessary to ensure uninterrupted and seamless submission of declarations and claims using UAE Pass.
