UAE's non-oil trade jumps 19%

nonoiltradeThe total general non-oil foreign trade (non-oil foreign and free zone trade) edged up by 19 per cent in the UAE during the first nine months of 2012 compared to the same period in 2011.A Federal Customs Authority (FCA) statistical study showed that the general non-oil foreign trade soared to Dh1.138 billion in the period of January- 30 September 2012 compared to Dh960 billion in the same period of the last year to mark an increase of Dh178 billion.

DP World Container Volumes Grow 2.4%

logo dpw hDP World Limited handled 14.2 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units) across its global portfolio of container terminals in the third quarter of 2013, with gross container volumes growing by 2.4% on a like-for-like basis. This was driven largely by an improved performance from our Asia Pacific and UAE terminals. On a reported basis gross volumes were flat with a 0.4% decline in the third quarter, reflecting monetisations and divestments made in previous periods.

UAE Remains Top Arab Market
