A team of 37 Emiratis have successfully completed DP World’s advanced Leadership Development Programme (LDP) conducted in partnership with the American University of Sharjah (AUS) and endorsed by the Institute of Leadership Management (ILM).

This is the third batch of management executives at DP World UAE Region, and other DP World Group companies and partners, to complete the intensive 15-month programme and join a talent pool of potential future leaders within the business.

In a ceremony held at Mina Al Salam Hotel, Dubai, the graduates were presented certificates and trophies by DP World Vice Chairman HE Jamal Majid bin Thaniah, Group Chief Executive Mohammed Sharaf, and Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of DP World UAE Region.

The ceremony was also attended by other top executives from DP World, other group companies, partners and representatives from the American University of Sharjah.

On behalf of DP World Chairman HE Sultan bin Sulayem, Mr Bin Thaniah congratulated the students. He said: “Dubai has become what it is today thanks to our leader’s vision.

"His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is the motivator behind some extraordinary projects, including Dubai International Airport and Jebel Ali Port.

“DP World is one of those companies that began locally in the UAE, and followed the wisdom of HH Sheikh Mohammed to become a global leader in the maritime and ports industry. For over 25 years, our Chairman HE Sultan bin Sulayem has followed that vision with a focus on hard work and creativity.

“We are delighted to see the third batch of DP World executives successfully completing this advanced management programme. The insights and skills gained by our people will further strengthen the way we do business. We thank the AUS Board of Directors and Deans for their valuable contribution.”
